Your first FoM starts here
First time at FoM? Here’s how tickets, seats and check-in work, and what to bring.
You do not need to be a tournament regular
A LAN party is gaming together in the same place. Bring your own computer, settle in and play with friends, meet other players or enter a competition that suits you.
Come with a clan or on your own. You can enter competitions, play casually or just spend the weekend gaming with other people.
From booking to booting up
Check the current event and ticket offer. Read what your ticket includes before buying, and make sure it is assigned to the person attending.
Plan seats with your friends using the seatmap. A ticket purchase and a seat reservation are separate steps; check your account before travelling.
Update your games at home. Test your computer, pack its cables and keep your ticket and identification easy to reach.
On arrival, follow crew directions for parking and check-in. Find your assigned seat, connect your setup and ask the helpdesk if something is not working.
Make time to eat, rest and explore. If you enter a competition, keep an eye on its rules, check-in requirements and schedule.
Small things that make a big difference
Coming alone?
Browse clans before the event or introduce yourself to the people around your seat. You don’t need to come with a team.
Keep account access handy
Make sure you can sign in to FoM and your game launchers. Bring what you need for two-factor authentication too.
Take breaks
Plan proper rest between sessions. Keep sleeping equipment in the designated area and leave aisles clear.
Ask early
For a setup issue, speak to the helpdesk. For a match issue, contact the competition admin with your competition and match details.
