Our story

More than 20 years. Still gaming together.

For more than 20 years, gamers have been bringing their PCs to FoM to play, compete and catch up with friends.

From online friends to a room full of PCs

FoM grew out of the LAN culture of the late 1990s: players who knew each other online wanted to meet, socialise and compete in person. The E-Events archive records FoM weekends in Lokeren in 2000, before the larger editions that followed.

Bring your computer, catch up with your clan and meet the people behind the nicknames. Competitions are part of the weekend, alongside casual games and the conversations between matches.

The people behind the weekend

E-Events VZW is the non-profit organisation behind Frag-o-Matic.

A LAN starts long before the first game. The team prepares the venue, network and power for the players, organises competitions and entertainment, and runs catering across the weekend. Players, crew and partners each have a part in making it work.

That shared effort is what you join when you come to FoM. Look after the people and space around you, ask the crew when you need help, and make room for someone attending for the first time.
