Long before the first PC boots up, our crew is already at work. And when the last gamer heads home, there are still tables to clear, cables to roll up and a hall to hand back.
Frag-o-Matic runs on volunteers. People who enjoy making things happen, helping each other and giving gamers a weekend to look forward to. We are looking for extra hands, fresh ideas and people who want to become part of that team.
Where can you help?
Build-up and teardown
Help turn an empty hall into a LAN party, then pack it all away again. Tables, chairs, equipment, cables and the practical jobs that make everything else possible. If you enjoy getting things done with a team, we would love to hear from you.
Video, photography and audiovisual production
Capture the atmosphere, photograph the action and help create our next aftermovie. We also need people interested in the audiovisual side of the event, including projectors, screens and the content shown around the hall. Whether you prefer filming, editing, photography or making the visuals run smoothly, there is plenty to get involved in.
Catering and bar
Keep gamers and crew fuelled throughout the weekend. Help prepare and serve food, work behind the bar and keep things organised during the busy moments. A friendly face and a practical attitude go a long way.
Electricity and power
A hall full of PCs needs a team that understands power. Help lay out cabling, set up power distribution and manage the electrical supply throughout the event. Tell us about your relevant experience so we can find the right role alongside the team.
Compo admins
Know your game and its community? Help us run competitions that players enjoy being part of. Answer questions, explain the rules, keep matches moving and work with teams when something needs sorting out. We are looking for people who care about fair play and a great weekend for every gamer.
Helpdesk and animation
Be one of the faces people turn to at FoM. Welcome participants, help with practical questions and point people in the right direction. Or bring your energy to activities, stage moments and the fun that happens between matches.
Website and development
Help maintain and improve our website and the software behind FoM. We need people who enjoy fixing bugs, keeping existing code healthy and building the tools we will need for future editions. Frontend, backend, integrations or testing: tell us what you like working on.
