Quake Champions Tournament Rulebook
- General Structure
The tournament consists of two phases:
Phase 1 – Deathmatch Qualifiers (DM)
Phase 2 – Duel Finals (Double-Elimination Bracket)
All players begin in Phase 1. The top 4 players advance to Phase 2.
- Phase 1 – Deathmatch Qualifiers
2.1 Match Format
Get together in a custom lobby and select the quake champions LAN server. Deathmatch group list will be published saturday 1 am.
Game Mode: Deathmatch (Free-For-All)
Score Limit: 100
Time Limit: 30 minute
Maximum Players per Lobby: 8
If fewer than 8 human players are available, bots will fill the remaining slots.
Bot difficulty: Medium
Map selection: Match 1: Awoken, Match 2: Blood Covenant, Match 3: Corrupted keep, Match 4: Deep Embrace, Match 5: Ruins of Sarnath, Match 6: The Molten Falls Match 7: Tower of KOTH
Players have a maximum of 5 minutes to show up for their match. Failure to appear within this time results in an automatic forfeit.

After all DM matches are completed, scores are added.
The top 4 players with the highest total points advance to Phase 2.
Ties are resolved by highest single‑match placements.

3.1 Format
Game Mode: Time Limit Duel
Bracket Type: Double Elimination
Match Format: Best of 3
3.2 Map Drafting
Map pool: Awoken, Blood Covenant, Corrupted Keep, Deep Embrace, Ruins of Sarnath, The Molten Falls, Tower of Koth
Map Draft format:
Who picks a map first is decided by a coinflip.
BO3 Map pick and bans:
1. Player 1 - ban map
2. Player 2 - ban map
3. Player 1 - pick map
4. Player 2 - pick map
5. Player 1 - ban map
6. Player 2 - ban map
7. Last map is 3rd map
BO5 Map pick and bans:
8. Player 1 - pick map
9. Player 2 - pick map
10. Player 1 - ban map
11. Player 2 - ban map
12. Player 1 - pick map
13. Player 2 - pick map
14. Last map is 5th map
There are no champion restrictions.
3.3 Server Settings
Time Limit: 10 minutes
Score Limit: 100
- Player Rules
4.1 Conduct
No cheating, exploiting, or use of unauthorized software.
No harassment or unsportsmanlike behavior.
Decisions by tournament admins are final.
4.2 Technical Issues
Disconnects within the first 60 seconds → restart
Disconnects after 60 seconds → match continues.
