Make sure to sign up your team for the CS:GO compo before the deadline.

Once the poules are over, there will be 2 brackets on www.fom.be (pro and semi-pro).

The semi-pro will continue in a new compo.

You will need to re-subscribe when asked.

After finishing the game, fill in your score IMMEDIATELY! The brackets will be automatically updated by the admins.

Where can we sign-up for the CS:GO competition?

If you browse to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition page you can click on " SIGN UP FOR THE COMPO " to add your team to the compo.

What to do when you’re too late to sign-up?

Registration closes on Friday 16 February 2018 at 21:00. If you want to sign-up after that time, you’ll need to ask this at the compo desk. The penalty for signing up late is being seeded last. The tournament starts on Friday 16 February 2018 at 22:45. After the start, you can no longer sign-up.

How can we contact the CS:GO admins?

The communication during the LAN will be through steam, teamspeak, discord or at the compo desk as described in our rulebook.

What is the CS:GO competition structure?

Our CS:GO tournament will use a poule system and 3 double elimination brackets (pro, semi-pro and fun).

Each poule will consist out of 3-4 teams who will compete against each other to make it into the brackets. Each team within the poule needs to play against any other team within its poule.

Following the poule stage, the winner from each poule will advance to a pro bracket, the team in second place from each poule will advance to a semi-pro bracket and other teams will proceed to the fun bracket.

Our compo structure will use the following setup:

Groupstage > BO1 (best of 1) Upper Bracket > BO3 (best of 3) Lower Bracket > BO1 (best of 1) Pro & semi-pro bracket:   Semi-final (Finals in lower bracket) > BO3 (best of 3)   Final > BO5 (best of 5) with map advantage Fun bracket:   Semi-final (Finals in lower bracket) > BO1 (best of 1)   Final > BO3 (best of 3) with map advantage

The final match will consist of 2 teams following double elimination. This means, 1 team coming from the loser bracket and 1 team from the winners bracket, where the team from the winners bracket has map advantage.

Where can we find the time schedule?

	On our schedule page

What happens if we don’t finish our match within our time slot?

If you don’t finish a match within its time slot, you’ll receive a warning. If you do this a second time, you’ll receive a second warning. If you do this a third time, you’ll receive a forfait due to holding up the tournament for everyone else.

What to do during disconnects and lag?

You’ll need to follow what is described in our rulebook under 4.2.9 Technical problems and disconnects

What do we do with the score after every match?

You need to fill in your score by logging into your account on our website. Click on compos under your user profile drop-down menu in the top right. Select the CS:GO compo and click on " SUBMIT SCORE "

What happens when you fill in the wrong score after your match?

You’ll need to notify a CS:GO admin and tell them you’ve made a mistake. They’ll rectify this for you.

What maps are played during the CS:GO competition?

You can find our maplist in our rulebook under 4.2.1 Map list.

How do we decide which maps are played?

You’ll need to use our VETO system as described in our rulebook under 4.1.3 Game setup.

How does the VETO system work?

	VETO rules Bo1: ABABAB veto.

VETO rules Bo3: A/B veto, A/B play and A/B veto.

For more information, check our rulebook under 4.1.4 Veto system.

How many matches do we need to play during the poules?

As each poule will consist out of (a maximum of) 4 teams, you’ll need to play 3 matches.

How many matches do we need to play during the brackets?

Our brackets are a double elimination bracket, so you’ll need to play a minimum of 2 matches: 1 in the upper (winner) bracket and one in the lower (loser) bracket.

Can we switch a player out for another during the tournament?

This is described in our rulebook under 3.9 Player changes: Teams are permitted to substitute players (only with another player not active in the CS:GO competition) during pauses and between rounds, if they have permission from the tournament admin.

Consent for substitutions must be obtained from the tournament admins, and substitute players must be registered for that team in the tournament. You can make this clear to the admin by using the contact information in section ‘Admins and communication’.

When is a good time to go eat?

If you finish your match within the time slot of our time schedule and there’s still time remaining, by all means take a break and get some food and drinks at our bar " IN THE OWNAGE "

Where can we find a anti-screen watching screen?

You can come to the compo desk and ask for one. If one is available, admins will give you permission to take one.

	Where do we sleep?

There’s one big sleeping hall, called hall B, at the back of the event.

Is the grand final being played on the main stage?

No, there will be no grand final on our main stage. Players can use their own pc and stay on their seat as this is a BYOC event.

Can we watch the grand final live somewhere?

Yes, the exact place and time will be announced later on Sunday during the event.

Is there a live stream for all CS:GO matches?

There is a live stream via twitch, but not for all matches.

	What happens if there’s a power fail/outage?

The same rules apply as described in our rulebook under 4.3.2 Server crash.

Is there a procedure to report server lag?

As described in our rulebook under 4.3.3 Server lag, you can report this by filling in our form.
