SteelSeries Sensei [RAW]

SteelSeries Sensei [RAW] did away with processor, the LCD menu system and the on-board memory. If you don’t travel around the world as a pro gamer, if you don’t plug into tournament computers and if you don’t need all the colors, this is a much more price conscious option.

Same world class performance, same amazing customization options, now you just need to configure the mouse thru SteelSeries Engine instead of doing via the LCD menu system. And Sensei [RAW] is available in 2 versions: one with rubberized soft-touch surface, one with smooth glossy surface - pick your favorite feel and start fragging.

Rulebook

Communication channel: fragomatic @ Starcraft II: Wings Of Liberty

  1. Players bring their own keyboard, mouse, headset, monitor and computer with them.
  2. Players must have an active Battle.net account with a legal Europe Starcraft 2 edition on it.
  3. Players will have to register their username + identifier when they sign up for the Starcraft 2 competition.
  4. Players are required to save all their tournament games. These replays will be used in problem situations. If none of the players can deliver the replays, the match has to be replayed no matter what.

General Rules

  1. The last official patch will be used in the tournament. Be sure to update your client before packing at home.
  2. In case of problems regarding the internet, battle.net, a computer or monitor that game will have to be replayed.
  3. Both players will be disqualified if the tournament game isn’t played on time. If you want to play, but your opponent won't, he will be disqualified if you report it to the admin in time. In time means at least 30 minutes before the time limit is reached.
  4. If there is a discussion between both players regarding the tournament, both players will have to come to the compo desk and explain the problem to the Starcraft 2 admin. He will decide what to do. The Starcraft 2 admin for FoM 14.1 is Glen ´ORPH4NUS´ De Cauwsemaecker.

Rules regarding Starcraft 2

  1. Players are only allowed to pause a tournament game in case of hardware or connection problems. If a player pauses the game without a valid reason, he’ll get a warning.
  2. Players are allowed to chat in a tournament game. They’ll have to do this in a proper way and do it with good sportsmanship. If a player offends another player, he’ll get a warning.
  3. Players aren’t allowed to see their opponents monitor. If you get caught while doing this, in any form whatsoever, you’ll be disqualified from the tournament.
  4. While playing a tournament game it is required to switch your status to “busy”. If you get caught with another status you’ll get a warning.
  5. When you get caught while cheating or hacking, in any form whatsoever, you’ll be disqualified from the tournament.
  6. The first map of every round is fixed. More details about this on the event. Everything regarding this will be found on the projection screens and the local website. In case of confusion you can always contact the Starcraft 2 admin.
  7. Players can change their round every round. In case of a best-of-3 or a best-of-5 series they can only choose their race the 1st game.
  8. The player with the highest seed hosts the tournament game. When the game gets live streamed it will be hosted by a Registered live streamer. He’ll invite both players.
  9. Only compo admins and Registered livestreamers can join a tournament game as an observer. If a player invites another observer in the game, he’ll get a warning.
  10. If a player disconnects while playing a tournament game, the game will have to be played again, doesn’t matter what the situation was in-game.
  11. If an observer disconnects in-game, both players continues with their game. The tournament game has to be continued.
  12. The high seed player has to play as the red player, while the low seed player has to play as the blue player.
  13. In case of a tie ( detected by Starcraft 2 in-game or when both players agree on a tie situation) the tournament game has to be played again.
  14. The tournament starts with Poules of 5 players per group (Number of players per group, may change depending on the amount of total registered players). All the games will be played in a BO3 modus, the players have to vote which map they’ll play ( only maps listed in the map list of this compo can be chosen ).
  15. If there are 2 players within the same group with the same score at the end of Poule phase, we have a special rule. In that case we will use a ratio where we compare their losses vs their wins. In this situation each player represents an amount of points. If you won against that player that score will be added to your rank score, which starts at zero. If you lose against that player that score will be decremented from your ranking score.
  16. When rule 15 is active and we still have a tie as a result, we have yet another rule. The faster you won a game, the more points you get. In this case we’ll also take the seconds into account. This makes the change of a tie almost impossible. However if we still would have a tie, we have a final rule. These 2 players will have to play a bo3 against each other, the winner of this BO3 will advance to the winner or loser brackets, depending on his position in his group.
  17. The top 2 players start in the tournament winner brackets. The 3rd best player starts in the lower brackets. If a player loses in the upper brackets he’ll be transferred to the lower brackets. If you lose in the lower brackets you’re out of the tournament.
  18. The games will be played in a BO3 modus. The finals will be played in a BO5 modus. These numbers can change depending on the total amount of registered players for the Starcraft 2 compo.
  19. The maps that in the tournament will be used are: WCS Cloud Kingdom LE, Daybreak LE, Ohana LE, WCS Antiga Shipyard, 1v1 Entombed Valley - GTAI, Metropolis LE, Daybreak LE
  20. If a player gets 2 warnings he’ll be disqualified from the tournament. In this case, his opponent will get a free win. If this happens in a bracket match, that player will also advance to the next round.
